Semillas Counseling & Wellness is a people-centered mental health practice based in Ventura, CA. Our mission is to support individual, intergenerational, and community healing and support the resilience-practices of our communities. Grounded in a trauma-informed approach, we incorporate platica therapy, somatic practices, horticulture-assisted psychotherapy, and culturally rooted healing modalities to provide compassionate, holistic care.

The ideal candidate has experience—or a strong interest—in working with underserved communities and is bilingual in Spanish and English. We offer clinical supervision and a supportive, client-centered environment, making this a great opportunity for pre-licensed clinicians to gain hours toward licensure while growing in their professional journey.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking dedicated associate therapists to join our team in a part-time capacity. This is a W-2 position offering meaningful clinical experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
✓ Providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy to a diverse range of clients.
✓ Offering services via telehealth or in-person, based on client needs and clinic availability.
✓ Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
✓ Participating in weekly clinical supervision and staff meetings to support ongoing growth and collaboration.
✓ Collaborating with other providers and community resources to ensure comprehensive client care.
✓ Upholding the highest ethical standards and complying with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
✓ Integrating culturally rooted and responsive practices into clinical work to support healing in diverse communities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
✓ Master’s degree in Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy from an accredited academic program.
✓ Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC.
✓ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
✓ Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
✓ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
✓ Experience or a genuine interest in serving multicultural and underserved communities.
✓ Successful completion of a background check and the ability to maintain active professional liability insurance.
PART-TIME THERAPIST POSITION (25-30 HOURS/WEEK, W-2 POSITION)
We are seeking dedicated associate therapists to join our team in a part-time capacity. This is a W-2 position offering meaningful clinical experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
POSITION DETAILS:
Provide therapy to a caseload of 18–20 clients per week
Work up to a maximum of 30 hours per week
Must reside within 20 miles of Ventura, CA 93003
In-office work required at our Ventura location, with the option for one telehealth day per week
Attend weekly clinical supervision and team meetings
Flexible scheduling available: Monday through Saturday, with client sessions available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Compensation:
Clinical Rate: $38–$40 per hour, depending on BBS hours accrued
Administrative Rate: $22 per hour (applies to supervision, documentation, training, etc.)
FULL-TIME THERAPIST POSITION (36-40 HOURS/WEEK, W-2 POSITION)
POSITION DETAILS:
Provide therapy to a caseload of 25-28 clients per week
Work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week
Must reside within 20 miles of Ventura, CA 93003
In-office work required at our Ventura location, with the option for one telehealth day per week
Attend weekly clinical supervision and team meetings
Flexible scheduling available: Monday through Saturday, with client sessions available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Compensation:
Clinical Rate: $40–$42 per hour, depending on BBS hours accrued
Administrative Rate: $22 per hour (applies to supervision, documentation, training, etc.)
